Miramar, Florida, January 17, 2007 – Due to the demand for the SAR-DF 517, radio direction finder around the world, Becker Avionics, Inc. has just updated an STC to include Cessna 172/182/206 series aircraft.
Becker’s SAR-DF 517 receives ELT and personal locator beacon (PLB) signals, maritime radio channel 16 for sea rescue, 121.5 MHz, 243.0 MHz and COSPAS/SARSAT satellite frequency 406.025 MHz. In addition to the emergency frequencies, the SAR-DF 517 can also be used for tracking and surveillance missions on non-emergency frequencies.
Becker Avionics Releases The BXP 6403 Mode-S Transponder Retrofit For The KT-76
Miramar, FL, June 12, 2008 - The BXP6403 Mode S transponder is a retrofit for the Bendix-King KT76A; designed to install
in the same tray and wiring, a true drop in replacement. Legacy transponders require a warm up
time and are costly to repair.
The BXP6403 has a sunlight readable display, requires no warm up time, incorporates state-of-the-art-technology and has an industry leading two year factory warranty. The transponder is FAA and EASA certified.
For most small aircraft, the transmitting
power of the Class 2 (150w) is sufficient. However, for aircraft flying above 15,000 feet, the
Class 1 (250w) is more suitable.
DVCS 6100 Digital Audio System a Standard in the EC-145 Multipurpose Helicopter
Miramar, Florida, Feb 12, 2007 – Becker’s DVCS 6100 multi-station digital audio panel and intercom has been selected by Eurocopter as the standard intercom on the EC-145 multipurpose helicopter.
In addition to the world’s largest helicopter manufacturer, Northrop Grumman has selected the DVCS 6100 to be used for King Air B200 air ambulance installations.
This system provides a redesigned and improved mission orientated Man-Machine-Interface (MMI). It offers 8 communication transmit (TX) and 8 receiver (RX) channels, an integrated warning tone generator for up to 8 different signals, and much more!
