Being a customer-centric company, Becker Avionics put thought into the design of the PMA-approved installation kit for the STC.

This STC was designed with simplicity and ease of installation in mind. The whole modification can be performed quickly and during a planned maintenance event. Remove part of the cockpit interior, remove the existing audio panel, install the new wiring harness into the existing connectors and then connect and mount the AMU in the sidewall. Run the new headphone wires, mount the new stereo headphone jack, run the new power wires, and then run the audio data bus lines from one AMU to the other behind the instrument panel. From there, turn on the system and begin operational checkout procedures. The installation should take approximately 40 hours to complete with no structural modifications.

When purchasing the STC as a kit, it is delivered with all required components, including:

  • (2) Adapter Harnesses

  • Technical Data Package

  • Right to Use Letter/Letter of Authorization

The AMU6500 has an FAA and EASA STC allowing installation in the Gulfstream G200 and G-IV aircraft.
